In researching the perfect way to grill barbeque ribs, I traveled along the Internet highway only to discover a plethora of barbeque blogs that were each sharing many different ideas regarding the art of barbeque. Defining Blog Helps To Define The Power Of The Barbeque Blog

In 2005 the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary officially recognized the term blog as a word. At its roots, it originated from a combined blending of the words “web” and log”, thus leading to “blog”. The dictionary describes a “blog” as “a website that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks provided by the writer.” [an error occurred while processing this directive]

Interestingly enough, a visit to the many different barbeque blogs online produced just this sort of results. In my earlier search, I did not realize that a barbeque blog would be the perfect location in which to learn how to properly barbeque ribs. I discovered while reading the various barbeque blogs that real barbeque is much more serious than I ever knew. Until I encountered the different barbeque blogs, I had no idea that the world of barbeque is as competitive at it appears to be. There are barbeque blog bibles and self proclaimed white trash sites, each proclaiming different concepts and ideas as they relate to the world of barbeque. I must admit that I am a bit puzzled by the whole barbeque blog forum, as I don’t quite understand the purpose of all of the different sites. Some hold valid resources, books and training manuals and suggested food items and recipes; realistically that is beneficial to many. There is a considerable amount of talk about competitions and winner and losers. This is valid to those that compete and follow the competitive races for top barbeque chef. I admit that I am somewhat embarrassed, as I did not realize that this was such a competitive event in the cooking arena today. After reading the different barbeque blogs, I had to go out and take a look at my stainless steel barbeque. I felt bad for the poor thing, as if it was somehow neglected by my total lack of interest. I have never cooked upon that grill with any level of excitement or anticipation rather I have gone to it prior to dinner time and slapped some beef, fish or chicken upon its grill. I can say that we shared a beverage once, when I was making beer can chicken but other than that, there isn’t much more my barbeque and I have shared. SHHHH! Don’t tell the barbeque bloggers or they might send the barbeque police to rescue my barbeque.
